An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.
Required Skills/Experience: Strong circulating experience Pre/post-Op Ortho and general cases on call for ortho- Total knee, hip, shoulder, ORIFs, many hip fractures, I&Ds, General- lap appy, lap chole, lap hernia, EGD/ Colonoscopy, Lesion removals, lumpectomy, hemorrhoidectomy, OB/GYN- hysteroscopy, hysterectomy, lap salpingectomy, Eyes- cataract removal, podiatry- bunionectomy.
Preferred Skills/Experience: PACU experience preferred
Required Credentials: ADN or BSN
Shift & Scheduling: Variable start times, but normally 0700-1730. May have earlier start time of 0630, or potentially later of 0800 or 0900 dependent on cases. On Call/Call-Back: 1-2x per week from end of shift to 0700 the next day. Weekend/Holiday: occasional weekend call – Friday, Saturday and Sun through 0700 on Monday. No holiday shifts, but holiday call is required. When on call they will be the nurse managing cases from surgical admission to unit discharge.Â
Floating Requirements: Candidates will be expected to work in pre-op, PACU, endoscopy, and circulate cases.
