Required Skills/Experience: Need 3's and 4's in neuro and experience in all service lines. Staff must be well versed on all surgical procedures since there are no specialized teams for each service line.
Required Credentials: Pass/fail open-book exam on Friday during orientation covering skills learned; must score 90% to pass or the contract will be terminated.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Each employment history entry on the resume must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, patient ratio, and whether the facility was a teaching facility. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. 50-mile radius rule applies, and candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submission.
Unit Details: Adults, geriatrics, pediatrics, and obstetric cases; neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic, gynecology, general, and Da Vinci robotics procedures.
Shift & Scheduling: On-call 1 night per week. On-call every 5th or 6th weekend (Saturday/Sunday). Rotating holiday call.
Floating Requirements: May float to pre/post op, PACU if trained, and ER for trauma cases.
