Required Skills/Experience:

• 1 or more-year experience in surgery including case mix listed below.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Greater than 1-year experience, ambulatory surgery.

Unit Details:

• Patient ratios: 1:1 in OR; perianesthesia depends on acuity.
• Uses Stryker, Steris, Smith & Nephew, and Surginet.
• Case types include ophthalmology, ortho/sports medicine, hand/foot/ankle, GYN/urology, plastics, general, and pediatrics.
• Typical procedures include cataracts, retina procedures, knee and shoulder arthroscopy, hand/foot/ankle procedures, gallbladder and hernia surgery, breast procedures, cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, pediatric dental, pediatric ortho and general procedures, breast reconstruction, some cosmetic procedures, hysteroscopy, and D&C.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Shift: 10:45AM-9:15PM.
• Late call 2x per week: C1 stays until the last case is completed; C2 is backup to C1.

Floating Requirements:

• MOR/VOR/Endo at Main Campus.
