Required Skills/Experience:
- Circulating experience required; scrub experience not required.
Special Requests:
- No excessive time off can be approved; time off should be limited.
Unit Details:
- Based in the Main OR.
- Includes inpatient and outpatient OR and procedural areas.
- Level 1 trauma center.
- Adult patients only; no pediatrics.
- Case types include neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, and lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Monday through Friday; assigned weekdays vary based on unit needs.
- Late stay required. Travelers will take four late stays in a 13-week contract. If rooms are still running at 5PM or 7PM, the late stay person remains until a night shift team can take over or the rooms come down; rarely more than 1 hour past the normal end time, though this increases during the summer and in December.
- Expected to work 2 of 3 holidays.
Floating Requirements:
- Could float between ORs, but not between locations.
