Additional Information
Required Credentials: Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score, 2 attempts allowed. Driver's license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/TDAP declinations.
Special Requests: Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates must have at least 6 months of employment separation to be considered for a travel position. Claimed residence must match the address on driver's license to receive the travel rate.
Unit Details: Provides direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Coordinates patient care and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to support efficient surgical workflows and clear communication. Circulating responsibilities include monitoring patient status, documenting care in the EHR, and ensuring accurate clinical documentation. Scrub nurse support includes maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and assisting surgeons.
Shift & Scheduling: Swing shift; 1 day shift and 2 night shifts, including Wednesday and Thursday nights.
