References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: -PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred. Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred Community Hospital Experience: Preferred LTAC Experience: Preferred
Required Credentials: Candidate must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. For DC locations – You must have DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending (See JD). MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure. For MD locations – You must have compact license or MD license.
Unit Details: Adult patient population. Chest tubes, PCA infusions, bedside monitoring, non-titratable drips, IV infusions. Patient population includes CHG, diabetes, COPD/asthma, sepsis, pneumothorax, ESRD/dialysis, hypertension/hypotension, ETOH withdrawal, and general surgery.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Unit will direct weekend coverage based upon operational needs. No call required.
Floating Requirements: Float required to Tele and/or MS as needed (these units have a 1:5/1:6 ratio).
