Additional Details:
Required Skills / Experience: PA lines. rare vents, no IABP, no impellas
Required Credentials: CLN will be required to take a rhythm identification test (proctored) once they start. They get two chances.
Unit Details:
- Heart/vascular 24-hour observation unit supporting CICU, CVICU, 6E (CVICU stepdown cardiac floor), 8E (CVICU stepdown vascular floor), and 4G (CICU stepdown floor).
- Cares for low-acuity critical care patients awaiting placement in heart/vascular ICUs or stepdown units, as well as same-day procedure patients who may need longer monitoring before discharge.
- Presurgical patients.
- Accommodates LVADs, 2-4 drips, arterial lines, and PA catheters; no ventilators, CRRT, IABP, or Impellas.
- Fast-paced unit with high patient turnover and a wide variety of cardiac and vascular diagnoses.
Special Requests: Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.
