Required Skills/Experience: OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center is Oklahoma’s only Level I Trauma Center. Clinicians should have strong Trauma Level 1 experience and/or be willing to work with difficult cases. OR candidates not accepted. Stepdown/PCU experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience: ENT experience preferred. Preceptor and charge experience preferred.
Required Credentials: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Preferred Credentials: Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program.
Unit Details: This is a med/surg unit. 4W Surgical Transplant is a mixed stepdown and acute care floor which cares for post-surgical kidney, liver and pancreas transplant patients. They also care for pre-transplant patients who are being evaluated for a transplant during their inpatient stay. Patients require close monitoring for infection, rejection, and timely medication delivery. This is not a PACU position. Any nurse on this floor will either work MS or SD dependent on the availability of nurses.
Floating Requirements: Travelers will be first to float.
