Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:
- PICC, midline, and ultrasound-guided peripheral IV competency required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- 2 years of experience preferred.
- Community hospital experience is preferred.
Required Credentials:
- Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.
- If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations.
Special Requests:
- All previous perm employees of any Providence affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel position.
- RTO must be listed at time of submission.
Unit Details:
- Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population.
- PICC, midline, and ultrasound-guided peripheral IV access for difficult or long term vascular access needs.
- PICC/Central Lines, Port-A-Cath/Vascular Device Access/Care, Triple Lumen Catheter.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
Floating Requirements:
- Must be open to floating to different campuses/units and work on all units for vascular access team duties, including difficult or long term vascular access sticks.
