Required Skills/Experience:
Current IV experience is required.
Must be proficient in peripheral line placement for children and newborns within 6 months.
Must be proficient in PICC placement within 1 year.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience with insertion of PICC (peripherally inserted central lines) and ultrasound-guided PIVs preferred.

Required Credentials:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

Unit Details:
Provides nursing care to patients requiring venipuncture and vascular access, including midlines and PICC lines.
The nurse will assume and demonstrate proficiency in the charge nurse role.
The nurse will serve as a resource for patient care, orientation, and staff teaching.

Shift & Scheduling:
The schedule includes every other weekend, rotating holidays, and day shift windows of 0730-1600 and 0800-1630.
