Required Skills/Experience:

• Must have IV ultrasound guidance experience, strong IV skills, and PICC skills.
• Large trauma level 1 experience in the last year is required.
• Viable candidates would be emergency department or infusion RNs.

Special Requests:

• Employment gaps over 90 days must be explained.
• Reliable transportation is required; a personal vehicle or rental vehicle is strongly recommended because public transportation is not accessible in this area.
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November-April.

Unit Details:

• PICC lines are placed at the bedside by PICC RNs; the role includes assessing PICC lines, completing PICC dressing changes, and administering TPA as needed.
• Peripheral IVs are placed and removed at the bedside; the role also includes troubleshooting lines, performing dressing changes, accessing ports, and helping flush ports.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Day shifts are 8:00 AM-8:30 PM.
• The schedule is primarily days, but travelers must be flexible to rotate to nights as needed and fill critical vacancies; typically, one week of nights is followed by one week of days, though mid-week rotations may occur.
• The unit will try to allow appropriate time off between rotations, typically 48 hours.
• Every other weekend is required.
• The schedule covers Monday through Sunday.

Floating Requirements:

• Floating assignments include placing peripheral IVs; troubleshooting peripheral IVs, PICC lines, and ports; performing dressing changes; and drawing blood as backup.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
