    Additional Information

    Required Skills/Experience: 1 year MS/MS-Tele experience in an acute care setting. Must be comfortable with IV starts due to limited onsite resources and no IV team.

    Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience/knowledge of TURPs-CBI preferred. Critical Access or Trauma Level 3 or 4 experience preferred.

    Unit Details: Nurse-to-patient ratios: 5:1 on day shift, 6:1 at 11 pm; team nursing with LPNs at 2:7. Common diagnoses/cases include NHP, cellulitis, UTI, COPD, GU, pacemaker, sepsis, nursing home placements, and day surgical ortho (hips and knees), choles, appys, TURPs-CBI. Small pediatric population (about 3/year); travelers are generally not assigned unless they have prior experience or no other options are available. No titratable drips. Charge nurse takes an assignment; travelers may be used as relief charge. Hospitalist in house until 6 pm daily, then telemed. RT available 24/7; CPAP used on the unit. RNs read their own telemetry strips; basic telemetry/arrhythmia knowledge is expected, with a physical monitor at the nurses' desk.

    Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend rotation, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 2 of 3 holidays required. Potential to be placed on call/standby. Self-scheduling is accommodated when possible.

    Floating Requirements: Must be able to float to like units and like patients.

    Special Requests: Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed; longer blocks of 6 shifts may be considered when able. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you are applying to. Must take a full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether it was a teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Must note in the submission if the clinician has ever worked for Marshfield. If previously employed with Marshfield, an end date at least 6 months before submission is required.
