Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: At least 2 yrs specialty exp (hem/onc, BMT) required. Administer chemo. Telemetry, IV starts, and interpret/manage dysrhythmias. Considering BMT, Heme/Med Oncology experience and/or strong Med Surg experience. Must have 2 years experience and one previous travel assignment or one month per diem.
Required Credentials: Pending DC license may be accepted, but the DC license must be in hand prior to start date. A later booking date may be accepted if DC licensure has been applied for.
Special Requests: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Manager may or may not interview. Must be okay proceeding without an interview. If you have questions, please email the AM. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric hematology/oncology/blood and marrow transplant patient population, including hematological diseases, acute leukemia, multiple myeloma, and general medical/surgical patients. Chemotherapy and blood and marrow transplant care.
Shift & Scheduling: Rotating day/night 3x12 shifts: 7:30-18:00 and 18:30-7:00. Roughly every other weekend, depending on unit needs. The nurse's initial schedule will be made based off the needs of the unit. For future schedules, the nurse will be able to give preferences, and the manager will create and balance the schedule accordingly with the needs of the unit and the requests of the other nurses.
Floating Requirements: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
