Additional Details:
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If a candidate worked at a permanent facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from that permanent facility.
Eligibility as current/previous employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.
References: At least 1 reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you are applying to.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Must have experience with IABP and IVUS.
Special Requests:
- Can only apply to 1 position at a time across the WVU system.
- Previous permanent candidates must be gone for 2 years.
- Previous travelers with 1 full year at the facility must be gone for 2 years.
- Travel pairs must be submitted together.
Unit Details:
- Interventional cath lab; RN is responsible for medications and the circulator/monitor role.
- Uses Cupid, Xper, hardwired bedside telemetry, Omnicell, and an Acist injector.
- 3-person team: 2 RNs and 1 tech.
- Adult cardiac patient population only; cases include peripheral, carotid, cath/PCI, device, ICD, and pacemaker cases. No EP or ablations.
Shift & Scheduling:
- On-call Monday-Friday 1530-0700, average 15 days per month; call days may decrease as permanent staff are added.
- Weekend call rotation: Sat/Sun 0700-0700.
- Holiday rotation covered by call.
Floating Requirements:
- Could be floated to Non-Invasive CV at times to start IVs.
