Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:
- First-time travelers allowed if 3 years of experience in a high acuity hospital.
- Candidates with strong Level II experience can be considered.
- Strong Pediatric ICU experience and at least 1 year of CV experience required.
- CV ICU, cardiac stepdown, or general cardiac experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching Hospital Experience
Required Credentials:
- Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.
Unit Details:
- Neonate, infant, pediatric, and adolescent patient population.
- Family-centered care for critically ill or injured children.
- Mixed CVPICU and PICU patient population.
- Cares for medical and surgical patients with cardiac, respiratory, and neuro/neurosurgical conditions, including heart, liver, and kidney transplant patients.
- Includes acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, multisystem organ failure, and ECMO.
- Includes satellite ICU beds on the general care floor.
- Patient ratio 1:1.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend. Every Third.
- Some holidays required.
- No call.
- Evening/Nights. Monday through Friday.
Floating Requirements:
- May float out to NICU and general care.
