Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Must be able to scrub/monitor as well as circulate - please decline RN traveler if they are unable to scrub – please include in offer what cases they are comfortable scrubbing
- Circulating, scrubbing and/or hemodynamic monitoring. This would be for cardiac & peripheral vascular. We do complex interventional procedures.
- Must have seen most of what is on the list, please add in offer any case type the traveler has not done
- Other skills required - Vasoactive drug administration, sedation administration, critical patient assessment skills, sterile technique, air management, Impella, Rotoblater, IABP, Pnumbra, Laser and lithotripsy atherectomy.
- Can do diagnostic and interventional scrubbing.
Required Credentials:
- Valid Driver’s License – required to float between facilities
- Photo ID
Shift & Scheduling:
- Monday to Friday with call.
- Weekend Rotation: minimum – approximately every 3rd weekend
- Call: Rotating; 2 days a week overnight – 1500 to 0700; 1 backup call (acts more as staying late to finish a case and then they are able to go home or the 1st call team would takeover); Every 4th weekend – Friday 1500 to Monday 0700; 30-minute call back period
- Holiday Expectations: done in rotation based on unit needs
Floating Requirements: This traveler will float routinely between Willis Knighton Medical Center (Shreveport, LA), Willis Knighton Pierremont (Shreveport, LA) and Willis Knighton Bossier (Bossier City, LA) (Last two campuses share Call Team) – only about 10 miles apart
