Required Skills/Experience: Open heart experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Recent travel work history highly preferred.

Unit Details: Assesses the needs of each patient before and during a surgical procedure and maintains patient safety. Outlines, implements, evaluates, and documents the plan of care during surgical procedures. Provides leadership to the OR team. Supervises activity in the room, anticipates and coordinates schedule changes, assembles equipment and supplies, assists anesthesia as necessary, and monitors the sterile field. Communicates with patients, families, physicians, the OR team, supervisors/managers, and ancillary departments.

Shift & Scheduling: Call required on all days worked and weekends. Weekend call is very infrequent, and weekend reporting is only required if a case is scheduled.
