References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
For DC locations – You must have DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending (See JD). MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Starting and maintaining IVs*, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal*, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring*, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), ECMO, Impella*, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Post Cardiac Surgery (directly from the OR), Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR), Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Valve Repair/Replacement*, Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), CVA/Acute Stroke management, Lumbar drains*, CVVHD/CRRT*, IV insulin protocols*
Required Credentials: Candidate must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
Special Requests:
- Holidays as needed
- No RTO is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Open to 3x12 or 4x12 contract
- Every other weekend required
Floating Requirements: Float to ICU and IMC required
