Required Skills/Experience:
- Competent to run hemodialysis treatments on Fresenius 2008T.
Unit Details:
- Ratios: 1:1 up to 1:5 with dialysis tech assistance.
- Performs dialysis treatments and monitors patients.
- Provides care on the dialysis unit to general medical-surgical patients; off-unit ICU or stepdown dialysis runs are handled by the bedside RN and RT.
- Patients may use CPAP or BiPAP while on the unit.
- RNs do not need to read telemetry.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other Saturday, with one Sunday approximately every 8 weeks.
- Every other holiday; closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
- No call or standby requirement.
Floating Requirements:
- May float to general medical-surgical floors only as helping hands, sitter, or behavioral health monitor; would not be assigned patients.
