    Additional Details:

    Required Credentials: License should not expire within 45 days following start date.

    Special Requests: Housing in ME becomes more expensive in the summer months, beginning in May. Be sure to confirm you are comfortable with housing options before applying. You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit and facility. Time off requires manager approval.

    Unit Details: Neonates to geriatrics. General ED patients include trauma, stroke, STEMI, and behavioral health. Includes a behavioral seclusion room and negative pressure rooms. RN ratio 1:4, variable upon patient acuity within the department. Skills include EKGs, IV starts, familiarity with TNKase administration, nebulizer treatments, initiating BiPAP, suture removal, assisting with casting, and vent management. RT is on dayshift only but can be called in for unstable patients as needed. Support includes ED provider, mid-level provider (hours vary), hospitalist 24/7, house supervisor, receptionist 24/7, critical care transport team assistance in ED, and ED techs. Traditional nursing staffing includes (2) 7a-7p, (2) 7p-7a, (2) 9a-9p, and (1) 10a-10p. ED tech hours are 6a-4p and 6p-4a. Security is on site 24/7 but typically does not respond to patient escalations; staff from all 6 units respond if needed. Uses FirstNet.

    Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No call. Holidays as needed.
