Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Basic arrhythmia experience required.
- CRRT (NxStage), IABP, Impella, HM3 LVAD, ECMO, and Zoll Thermoguard experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area preferred.
Required Credentials:
- Traveler will be required to pass telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.
Unit Details:
- Adult and geriatric patient population.
- CVCT ICU specializes in the care of cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplant, and cardiac medical patients, including CABG, valve repair/replace, aneurysm repair, aortic dissection repair, LVAD, heart transplant, lung transplant, thoracic surgery, STEMI, NSTEMI, cardiogenic shock, heart failure, and arrhythmia management.
- Typical assignments are 1-2 patients; may be assigned 3 general care patients if acuity is low and staffing resources are limited.
- Assignments often change throughout the shift as patients transfer out of the ICU and new patients arrive from the OR, ER, referring facilities, or the community.
- Planned and emergent procedures are frequently performed on the unit.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- Some holidays.
- No call.
