Must have NYS Nursing License Registration and NYS Copy of Physical License/Diploma for submission.

Individual Professional Liability coverage is mandatory for assignment duration (Only individual malpractice insurance is accepted by the facility).

Clinician must complete Additional skills section of resume with detailed description of patient pops and procedures worked for each work history.

Required Skills/Experience:
For acute facilities, minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital setting is required. The most recent experience should be within the past year.
For post-acute facilities, minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in either a Post Acute Facility or acute care hospital setting is required. The most recent experience should be within the past year.
Current Adult Care home health experience is required.
Required skills include physical assessment, medication administration, wound care and infection control, IV therapy, post-operative care, patient education, and telemetry monitoring.

Required Credentials:
Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institute.

Special Requests:
All time off and special requests should be discussed directly with managers upon arrival (no pre-approval).
Clinicians must start assignments within 30 days of receiving an offer.

Unit Details:
This is a true at-home role where the nurse will travel to patient homes.
Patient visits are in Manhattan.
Visits range from 4-6 patients on average.
The nurse provides direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre- and post-surgery patients.
The nurse changes dressings, inserts catheters, and starts IVs.
The nurse collaborates on discharge planning with the healthcare team.
The nurse answers questions and educates patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care.

Shift & Scheduling:
Alternating weekend coverage is required.
No on-call is required.
Overtime not allowed at NYCHH facilities (requires written manager approval in rare cases).
