    Required Skills/Experience:

    • Oncology experience required.

    Preferred Skills/Experience:

    • Recent travel work history highly preferred.

    Unit Details:

    • Cares for cardiovascular catheterization and angiography patients before, during, and after procedures, including pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, cath process documentation, post-cath care, and patient education.
    • Assists with cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, including stress echocardiogram, routine treadmill exam, nuclear and pharmacologic stress testing, tilt table, echocardiograms (NS/Definity), cardioversions, transesophageal echocardiograms, and other interventional radiology procedures; scrubs in for procedures with the physician.
    • Performs sedation monitoring; applies Holter, event, and ambulatory blood pressure monitors; performs pacemaker interrogations; inserts PICC lines via ultrasound guidance and functions as a vascular access expert.
    • Uses cardiac output and hemodynamic equipment, pacemakers/ICDs, intraaortic balloon pump, crash cart, IV pumps, defibrillators, point of care glucometer/blood sugar testing, and stress machines.
    • May be part of the transport team for patients with an intraaortic balloon pump or Impella who need a higher level of care.

    Shift & Scheduling:

    • No weekends or holidays.
    • No call.
