Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills: interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, multi-system organ failure, obtain 12 lead EKG. IV insulin protocols experience required. Chronic/acute renal failure experience required. IV therapy skills: arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs. Medication skills: continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, titrate cardiac drips, titrate vasoactive drips. Respiratory/thoracic case skills: assist with management of BiPAP, assist with management of CPAP, assist with chest tube insertion/removal, care of ventilated patient, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of ABGs, suctioning (ETT, NT), ventilator management. Professional topics and skills: infection prevention, isolation precautions/use of PPE, surgical wounds with drains/wound vac.
Special Requests: Open to accommodating block schedule? Discuss schedule requests with manager. RTO restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Patient population includes COPD, CHF, AKI/ARF, DKA, OD, post-surgical, hyperkalemia, hyponatremia, and GI bleeds. Unit procedures include chest tubes, bedside dialysis catheter insertion, and central line insertion.
Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. Will fill out form during orientation
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No call.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
