Required Skills/Experience: Experience with high acuity patients required. 2 years cardiac open heart recovery experience. At least 2 previous travel assignments. Strong Surgical IMC experience. ICU experience required for management of high acuity IMC patients. Experience caring for patients 1+ days out from CABG, valve repairs, and valve replacements.
Unit Details: Fast-paced surgical step-down CVPCU caring for post-op cardiac, vascular, and thoracic patients. Heavy cardiovascular post-op step-down population recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries. Cares for patients with mechanical circulatory support devices such as LVADs and patients recovering from heart and lung transplants. Mixed IMC continuous cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and non-monitored levels of care. Mixed level of care assignments; ratios are typically 1:3 during the day and 1:4 at night.
