Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Experience with cardiac patient populations, chest tubes, cardiac monitoring, and cardiac drips.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Low-level ICU skills preferred.
Unit Details:
- Patient ratios: 1:5-6 for cardiac patients and 1:3-4 for the PCU/stepdown population.
- Uses telemetry monitoring.
- Cardiac patient population with trauma and stepdown level of care.
- Common diagnoses/treatments include chest pain, VATS, stroke/TIA, pre- and post-open heart surgery, pacemakers, heart blocks, vascular conditions, and CHF.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- Call only if census is low.
