Required Skills/Experience:
- Hybrid unit - must be proficient in both PCU and MS/T
- BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen tanks, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Neurological/Psychiatric, Gastrointestinal, Feeding tube care and management, Medications, Heparin Protocols, PCA, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Professional Topics and Skills, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Endocrine/Metabolic, Work Settings, MS/Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Telemetry, Orthopedics, Cardiovascular, Genitourinary/Renal, Plastics, Additional Skills, colostomy/ileostomy management/care
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Level 1 trauma facility experience preferred for 1st time travelers.
- Pre/post thoracic surgery experience preferred.
- Oral suctioning experience preferred.
- Teaching Hospital Experience
- Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, Tracheostomy care/management, Phlebotomy, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Pre/Post neurosurgery, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Telemetry - remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, IV insulin protocols, Ortho trauma, Peripheral nerve block catheters, Total joint replacement, Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Surgical drains
Required Credentials:
- BSN required for international clinicians.
Shift & Scheduling:
- 36/36 schedule.
- Rotating weekends/holidays.
- No call.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
