    Additional Information

    Special Requests:

    • At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
    • Previous Marshfield employment must be disclosed; if previously worked for Marshfield, must have an end date at least 6 months before submission.
    • Must take a full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
    • Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether it was a teaching facility.
    • Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
    • Cannot guarantee same shifts for travel duos.

    Required Skills/Experience:

    • 2 years of MS, PCU, ICU experience. Must have experience in setting within the last 1 year.
    • Must have drip experience.
    • Willing to train on vents, but RN must be open to learning.

    Preferred Skills/Experience:

    • Home trach/vent experience highly preferred.

    Unit Details:

    • Nurse-patient ratios: Days 1:4-5; nights 1:5-6, dependent on acuity.
    • Neuro/trauma population including strokes, seizures, Guillain-BarrĂ©, myasthenia gravis, spinal injuries, thrombectomies, TNK/TPA within 24 hours, AMS, dementia, hematomas and bleeds, falls on thinners, and farm/MVA accidents.
    • Titrates drips including Heparin, Nitro, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, 3%, and insulin.
    • RT equipment includes vents, trachs, CPAP, BiPAP, Vapotherm, and EtCO2.
    • Central monitor is located in a different area.
    • Night charge nurse takes a full assignment; day charge nurse takes a smaller assignment.
    • Nurse aides available: days 1:9, nights 1:12.

    Shift & Scheduling:

    • Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
    • Every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
    • Typically 2 of 3 winter holidays; otherwise every other holiday.
    • No call.
    • Self-scheduling; manager balances, schedule opens 6 weeks in advance.

    Floating Requirements:

    • Floats to sister MS units across 6 specialties, including mixed care, cardiac, general, MS ortho, and heme/onc, to take more general patients as needed.
