Required Skills/Experience: Work Setting Skills Required: Pre/Post Procedure, Starting and maintaining IVs and Inpatient. Able to function in Pre-op, Intra-Procedural, and PACU. Patient age group: Pediatrics, Adults. Preferred Skills/Experience: Work Setting Skills Preferred: Outpatient Endoscopy center. Required Credentials: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. For DC locations – You must have DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending (See JD). MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure. For MD Locations – You must have compact license or MD license. Drivers License/State ID: Government issued photo ID. A valid driver's license will be required if driving on behalf of MedStar Health is an essential function of the job. Special Requests: Nurses with previous MedStar employment must have been separated for a minimum of one year before returning as a traveler. Candidates may be submitted to only one MedStar location at a time. Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Requirement: Weekday On-call 1730-0700 once per week; Weekend On-call(every 6th or 7th weekend) Monday and Friday evening 1730-0700 Saturday and Sunday (24 hours) 0700-0700. Schedule Requirements: Shift Times/Call/ Float/ Weekend Coverage: Pre-op 0630-1700, Intra-Procedural 0700-1730, PACU 0730-1800, 0800-1830. Floating Requirements: FLOAT REQUIRED will float per competency within GI Suite.
