Required Skills/Experience:
2 years high-risk L&D experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Recent OB, ED or critical care experience preferred.

Preferred Credentials:
Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification from the National Certification Corporation is preferred if interpreting fetal monitoring.
Care of the Extremely Low Birth Weight Neonate Certification from the National Certification Corporation is preferred.

Unit Details:
Patient population spans neonates, infants, pediatric patients, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.
Clinical care includes pregnancy, birth, postpartum, gynecological and women's health care, and neonatal care from birth through discharge, including differing gestational ages, diagnoses and complications.
Clinical work includes triage, prioritization, stabilization, resuscitation, emergency management, electronic fetal monitoring, vaginal exams, care of mother/fetal dyads, breastfeeding support and education, and self/neonate/infant teaching and discharge planning and follow-up.
Advanced care management is provided for unstable, acute or chronically ill neonates.
Uses Philips Avalon for fetal monitoring and OBIX.
Average 125 deliveries/month.
24/7 OB resident and anesthesia are available; NICU attends high-risk deliveries.

Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend and every other holiday.

Floating Requirements:
Will be required to float to Postpartum when need arises.
