Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- 6 months Med Surg experience in the past year.
- Able to function independently in the ER and function in the Med Surg unit with up to 5 patients.
Special Requests:
- Resume must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, patient ratio, and whether it was a teaching facility.
- Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
- At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to.
- Must disclose any previous Sanford Health employment in the submission.
- Previous Sanford Health employees must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission.
- Must take a full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location.
- Must disclose previous employment on the resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
- Skills checklist cannot contain any N/As; all lines must have a numerical rating.
Unit Details:
- Med Surg and OB nursing.
- Uses Sanford One Charge and Pyxis.
- Med/Surg ratio is typically 3:1 to 4:1, depending on census and acuity.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend and holiday.
- On-call: 3 call shifts required in a 13-week contract.
Floating Requirements:
- Will float between OB and Med Surg.
