Additional Details:
In order to receive travel rate, clinician's claimed residence must match address on driver's license. Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/Tdap declinations.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Level IV trained Labor & Delivery experience required.
- Must be familiar with magnesium and insulin drips.
Required Credentials:
- Advanced NRP required.
- Ascension Pharmacology Exam required; minimum 80% score, only 2 attempts allowed.
- Ascension Specialty Exam required; minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score, only 2 attempts allowed.
- Driver's license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license.
Special Requests:
- Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles.
- Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.
Unit Details:
- Level IV Women & Infants Hospital.
- AWHONN guidelines as often as possible: 1:1 in active labor and two patients in early, latent labor.
- Charge nurse responsibilities in both L&D and the high-risk unit; baby nurse for deliveries.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
- Every third weekend.
- Holiday rotation.
