Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Must have at least 2 years of total NICU III/IV experience, with at least 1 full year of Level IV NICU. You may combine Level III and Level IV experience to reach the 2-year total, but a minimum of 1 year must be in a Level IV NICU.
- Experience with post-op patients, g-tubes, trach/vents management, various modes of invasive/noninvasive ventilation.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Teaching hospital experience preferred.
Unit Details:
- Neonatal patient population.
- Provides care for critically ill newborns and infants from admission to discharge.
- Level IV NICU caring for high-acuity neonates, including premature infants; congenital heart disease; metabolic or genetic disorders; seizures and other neurologic disorders; brain injury or stroke; and neonates requiring surgery, diagnostic imaging, cardiac catheterization, or other advanced medical and surgical care.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Monday through Friday, required to work 2-3 weekends per 6-week scheduling period. 4-6 weekend shifts per contract, based on unit needs.
- No call.
Floating Requirements:
- Will float to all AFCH units including PICU to care for patients less than 12 months of age. Travelers float first.
