Additional Details:
Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Must have 2 years of experience with solid MedSurg or Tele background.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Stroke experience preferred.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. If previously employed at the facility, one-off exceptions may be considered with St. Luke's Health System approval.
Unit Details: Neuro patient population includes stroke, spine/back surgeries, cranial surgeries, neck surgeries, medical neuro disorders, neuro intervention procedures, Guillain-Barre, myasthenia gravis, seizures, and EEG monitoring. Cranial surgeries are usually not assigned to travelers. Neuroscience NPs staff 24/7 to support neuro surgery and neuro intervention patients. No titratable drips. Uses Epic. RT equipment/resources include CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and trachs. Telemetry monitors are being added; Philips workflow is still being determined. CNAs are staffed at 1:8. Charge RN has no patient assignment.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekends as needed. Holidays as needed. No call. They try to keep night shifts 3 in a row, but it is not guaranteed.
Floating Requirements: Float to support all Treasure Valley Med-Surg areas. Travelers are first to float.
