Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: PICC line management and experience with starting IVs is required. Must be willing to take tracheostomy and laryngectomy patients; experience is not required, but must be willing to learn and take these patients.
Unit Details: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. Dressing changes; drain removals; flush drains; suture and staple removal; nasogastric tube insertion; central line dressing changes; IV insertions; suctioning of tracheostomy and laryngectomy patients; ostomy applications; indwelling urinary catheter insertion; changing suprapubic catheters; continuous bladder irrigation; blood transfusion. Must be willing to take up to 1:7 ratio if needed (not common, but that is the max if needed).
Shift & Scheduling: 3x12 or 4x12 day shifts (0645-1915). Every other weekend. No call.
Special Requests: Locals accepted with no radius restriction. RTO subject to manager review based on unit schedule. Only 1 winter holiday may be requested off. If requested time off falls on a weekend, traveler will be scheduled per rotation and scheduled an additional weekend to make up for time away. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
