Required Skills/Experience:
- 2 years of strong Cardiac/Tele experience; Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
- Skillset: Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (TRAVELERS ARE REQUIRED TO PASS TELE TESTS), Initiate/titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, Heparin, amino, etc.). PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, stables drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), antidysrhythmic (Cardizem, tikosyn dosing, amio), nephrostomy tubes.
- Teaching hospital, may require precepting of students & new-hires
Required Credentials: Associate Degree or Certificate
Shift & Scheduling: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.
Floating Requirements: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
