Additional Information
Required Skills/Experience: 24 months of current Med Surg / Medical Surgical / Med Surg Tele experience required. Charge experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience caring for psych patients preferred. Precept experience preferred.
Special Requests: Unless the unit is closed, required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Past UPH employees who worked as FTE or PRN in the UPH float pool within the last 12 months cannot work travel in another market. This does not apply to prior UPH travel employees.
Unit Details: All types of med surg care, including overflow of post-op surgical hips/knees and psych patients. Heparin drips. Remote tele tech unit monitoring.
Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Every other or every 3rd weekend depending on staffing/census. No call.
Floating Requirements: Required to float across all campuses and like units, including Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist.
