Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- 24 months of current MS/Medical Surgical/Med Surg experience required.
- PCA and heparin experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Post-op surgical experience highly preferred, including patient care experience with hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries.
Special Requests:
- Any past UPH FTE or PRN float pool employee cannot work travel in another market, no matter which facility they currently work at or have worked at within the past 12 months. If they worked travel at UPH (not FTE or PRN), the separation policy does not apply.
Unit Details:
- Patient types include hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries.
- Drips include PCA and heparin.
- Unit has an emotional support canine.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
- Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day), unless the unit is closed.
- No call.
- Every 3rd weekend.
Floating Requirements:
- Required to float across campuses/units to like units across all campuses; Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist.
