Additional Details:
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
Special Requests: If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility. Cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Unit Details: Common diagnoses/types of patients: CHF, COPD, cellulitis, R/O, chole, appe, pneumonia, urosepsis, AKI. One charge RN on the floor, with assignment. PCTs on the unit. RNs titrate heparin based on aPTT results. No vents; intermittent BiPAP. Telemetry is watched remotely by monitor techs.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekends and holidays: scheduled as needed, usually 1/2 the total weekends. No call.
Floating Requirements: As needed based on census, external traveler first to float.
