References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience, high-acuity postpartum experience, and ability to handle a census surge where they could be asked to manage a 4th couplet. High Risk Obstetric care experience required. Magnesium experience required. Pitocin experience required. Foley experience required. Postpartum hemorrhage experience required. Substance withdrawal experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: JADA experience preferred.
Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past. If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations.
Special Requests: RTO must be listed at time of submission. Permanent candidates from other Providence facilities (non-Swedish) are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months. Assignment length options: 13 or 26 weeks (traveler choice).
Unit Details: Infant and adult patient population. Large-volume, high-census postpartum unit caring for high-risk obstetric patients following delivery. Diverse patient population. 4 couplets is standard.
Shift & Scheduling: Schedule options: 3x12s or 4x12s (traveler choice). 6 weekend days per contract.
Floating Requirements: Float required: Issaquah Campus - Postpartum, Edmonds Campus - Postpartum, Labor and Delivery for 2nd hour of recovery.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
