    Additional Information

    Preferred Skills/Experience:

    • Recent Medical/Surgical, Pediatric, OB, ED, or critical care experience preferred.

    Preferred Credentials:

    • RN-BC Pediatric Nursing Certification preferred.

    Special Requests:

    • Assignment length may vary: 13 - 18 weeks.

    Unit Details:

    • Level III NICU caring for neonates 28 weeks and up; does not keep surgical patients or babies requiring nitric oxide or high-frequency ventilation.
    • Uses bubble CPAP, ventilators, umbilical lines, PIVs, arterial sticks, peripheral blood draws, heel sticks, and neonatal resuscitation.
    • Uses Alaris IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and Puritan Bennett ventilators.

    Shift & Scheduling:

    • Every other weekend and major holidays required.
    • Call possible up to 24 hours in 6 weeks.

    Floating Requirements:

    • May have to float within the New Life Center or to outside NICU units.
