An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.
Required Skills/Experience:
- 2+ years level III experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- At least 1 travel assignment completed preferred.
- Desired skillset: extremely low birth weight, deliveries.
Preferred Credentials:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Unit Details:
- Newly transitioned Level II to Level III NICU; traveler may be the resource for a less experienced NICU RN.
- Private rooms and family-integrated care.
- Postpartum patient cared for in the NICU; OB RN cares for the postpartum patient.
- Average ratio 2:1 (from 1:1 to 3:1).
- Looking for experienced coverage to support the team in the event of a critical or extremely premature newborn.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Variable 12-hour PM/NOC shifts: 3p to 3a or 7p to 7a based on the needs of the unit; must be flexible.
- Every third weekend.
- Holiday rotation.
- On-call may be picked up as desired.
Floating Requirements:
- Float to Peds, as needed.
