Required Skills/Experience:
Five (5) years of nursing experience within Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Two (2) years of experience in nursing supervision or experience as a charge nurse.
Preferred Credentials:
Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Unit Details:
NICU/PICU/PEDS Nurse Manager oversees daily operations, patient care quality, and staff for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, PICU, and Pediatrics.
Responsibilities include hiring, scheduling, budgeting, policy development, and ensuring compliance while fostering a positive environment for caring for critically ill pediatric patients and their families.
Works closely with neonatologists, pediatric specialists, and other staff.
Review applicable collective bargaining agreements and consult with Labor Relations to generate management proposals.
Participate in collective bargaining negotiations, caucus discussions, and working meetings.
Document, recommend, and effectuate discipline at all levels.
Work closely with labor relations and/or labor counsel to effectuate and enforce applicable collective bargaining agreements.
Initiate, authorize, and complete disciplinary action pursuant to system rules, policies, procedures, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
Direct and effectuate management policies and practices.
Access and proficiently navigate CCH records systems to obtain and review information necessary to execute provisions of applicable collective bargaining agreements.
Contribute to staff management and systemic development and success.
Discuss and develop system policies and procedures.
Use independent judgment to identify operational staffing issues and needs, including hiring, transfer, suspension, layoff, recall, promotion, discharge, assignment, direction, and employee discipline pursuant to applicable collective bargaining agreements.
Work with Labor Relations to discern past practice when necessary.
Shift & Scheduling:
Weekends as needed; do not exceed more than 1 weekend shift per month.
24/7 accountability.
Floating Requirements:
Do not apply if you are not willing to meet the possible floating obligation.
CCH is a mandatory float facility.
