    Required Skills/Experience:

    • Min 3 years oncology exp. (Med/Surg Onc preferred).
    • Teaching hospital experience required.

    Preferred Skills/Experience:

    • Telephone triage nursing experience preferred.
    • 2 years outpatient oncology exp. preferred.
    • Previous Charge Experience: Preferred

    Required Credentials:

    • If CA state licensure is 3 months or less from expiration, proof that the renewal process has been initiated is required to apply.

    Special Requests:

    • You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

    Unit Details:

    • Adult and geriatric patient population.
    • Head & Neck Medical Oncology: Set patients up for chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, symptom management, survivorship care, multidisciplinary coordination with radiation and surgical oncology, clinical trial participation, patient education, nutritional and supportive care management.
    • Head & Neck Surgical Oncology: Pre- and post-operative surgical oncology care, clinic-based procedures, wound and drain management, tracheostomy care education, multidisciplinary care coordination, reconstructive surgery follow-up, biopsy evaluation, surgical counseling and patient education.
    • Patient population includes head and neck cancers including squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity, oropharynx, larynx, hypopharynx, nasopharynx, salivary gland tumors, thyroid malignancies, skin cancers of the head and neck, metastatic/recurrent disease, HPV-associated cancers, oral cavity tumors, laryngeal cancers, thyroid/parathyroid disease, salivary gland tumors, and melanoma.

    Floating Requirements:

    • Ability to float to other UCSF facilities.
