Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Chemotherapy skills/experience: Administration of chemotherapy, body fluid handling post chemotherapy, continuous infusion of chemotherapy, IV push administration of chemotherapy, management/disposal of cytotoxic spills, monitor chemotherapy, oral administration of chemotherapy, recognize/communicate abnormal lab values.
- IV therapy/infusion skills/experience: Accessing ports, administration of coagulation factors, antifungals, antivirals, blood/blood product administration, care and management of ports, central line blood draw, central line/implanted line care, PICC line care, starting IVs.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Previous Charge Experience: Preferred
Special Requests:
- Discuss schedule requests with manager.
- Ideally no more than 5 days of RTO.
Unit Details:
- Adult and geriatric patient population.
- Mixed general floor with oncology and hospice as the primary specialty.
- Chemotherapy administration.
Shift & Scheduling:
- 4x12s or 3x12 nights (1845-0715).
- Every other weekend.
- No call.
Floating Requirements:
- Will float as needed.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
