Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Scrubbing CV cases is required.
- First-time travelers accepted with previous Level I trauma experience. -Special Requirements: heart & lung transplants, aortic dissections, ECMO. Screen if no previous Level I Trauma exp.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Teaching hospital experience preferred.
- Endovascular procedures are a plus.
Required Credentials:
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Special Requests:
- References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant specialty experience within the past 3 years.
- IU Health generally will not allow Indiana RN travelers to work at their facilities; exceptions include Periop/OR RN travelers, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers.
- This Surgical Services/Periop CVOR position accepts local travelers, and Indiana residents are considered local.
Unit Details:
- Heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, and ECMO.
- Adult and geriatric patient population. -Parking Cost: Free
Shift & Scheduling:
- Approx. 100 hours of call every 6 weeks, including 1 call weekend every 6 weeks (Friday evening to Monday morning). -Must work 2/3 major holidays.
Floating Requirements:
- Float to other OR specialties.
