Required Skills/Experience: Prior travel experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: General surgery experience preferred.
Special Requests: Time off should be limited; excessive time off cannot be approved, and no more than 5-7 days off can be approved. Block schedule cannot be guaranteed.
Unit Details: Inpatient and outpatient adult OR setting; no pediatrics. Patient population and case mix include open heart, transplant, trauma/neuro, neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, and lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary. Children's Hospital OR is separate.
Shift & Scheduling: Could include Saturday/Sunday shifts; weekdays vary depending on unit needs. Expected to work 2 of 3 holidays. No call. Travelers will take four late stays in a 13-week contract. If rooms are still running at 5PM or 7PM, the late stay person stays until a night shift team can take over or the rooms come down; rarely more than an hour past the normal end time, with more late stays during summer and December.
Floating Requirements: Could float between ORs, but not locations.
