Special Requests:

Required Skills/Experience:
Level IV NICU experience.
Must be able to administer medications through a PICC line.
2+ years performing neonatal assessments and caring for IVs, umbilical lines, CPAP, nasal cannula, oral and IV medications, OG and NG feedings, and G-tubes.

Unit Details:
Level IV NICU caring for neonates.
Assists with procedures including intubation, spinal taps, PICC line placement, IV starts, and admissions.
Uses conventional ventilators (Draeger), high-frequency ventilators (jet and oscillator), nitric oxide, cool cap, MedFusion pumps, smart pumps, Spacelab monitors, MAK for medications, and Accudose.
Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 to 1:2 for critical and intermediate infants; 3:1 for infants who are growing and feeding.

Shift & Scheduling:
Day/night rotating schedule. Every other weekend.

Floating Requirements:
Able and willing to float to PICU and PEDS.
