Required Skills/Experience: Must have experience from a 30 bed or greater PICU. 2 years experience in a pediatric hospital required. Cannot have worked perm for Nationwide for at least 2 years. Ventilators, RA lines, Pacemaker wires, and chest tubes experience required. ECMO, Mechanical Support (VADs), and CRRT - travelers will not be expected to care for these patients or run circuits. PICU, Cardiovascular, Hemodynamic monitoring, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Central line blood draw, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, PICC line management, Arterial line management, Renal /Genitourinary, Infectious Disease, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Medications/Emergency Medications, Continuous Sedation, IV vasopressors, Pediatric Dosage Calculations, Respiratory, Management of Chest Tubes, Assist/manage intubation, BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance, Care of Ventilated Patient, Care/maintenance of acute airway, End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Suctioning (ETT, NT), Tracheostomy care, Ventilator Management, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
Preferred Skills/Experiences: Pediatric CVICU, Congenital Heart Disease/Repair, ECMO, Post Cardiac catheterization, Post cardiac surgery, Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD), Starting and maintaining IVs, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
Required Credentials: Drivers License/State ID - Current government issued photo ID is required within 24-48 hours of signing contract.
Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Coverage: Every other
Floating Requirements: Will float to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS as needed. Must be willing to comply with facility float expectations. Will be given an appropriate assignment in these areas.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
