    Required Skills/Experience:

    • Aldrete Scoring.

    Preferred Skills/Experience:

    • Previous Charge Experience: Preferred.
    • Teaching hospital experience preferred.

    Required Credentials:

    • RNs only: If CA state licensure is 3 months or less from expiration, proof that the renewal process has been initiated is required to apply.

    Special Requests:

    • You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

    Unit Details:

    • Infant, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patient population.
    • Patient population includes sleep disordered breathing, appendicitis, foreign body ingestion, leukemia, hypospadias, fractures, neuro issues, cardiac cath, cholecystectomy, dental, and audiology.
    • Common procedures and cases include LP with chemo, bone marrow aspirate, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, oral rehabilitation, myringotomy, closed and open fracture reductions, palate repair, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and gastrostomy feeding tube placement.
    • Care includes spinal epidurals, arterial lines, patient-controlled analgesia, and cardiac monitors.

    Shift & Scheduling:

    • Day shifts have variable start times.

    Floating Requirements:

    • Could rotate to Pre-Op or PACU.
    • Ability to float to other UCSF facilities.
