Required Skills/Experience:
- Aldrete Scoring.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Previous Charge Experience: Preferred.
- Teaching hospital experience preferred.
Required Credentials:
- RNs only: If CA state licensure is 3 months or less from expiration, proof that the renewal process has been initiated is required to apply.
Special Requests:
- You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Unit Details:
- Infant, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patient population.
- Patient population includes sleep disordered breathing, appendicitis, foreign body ingestion, leukemia, hypospadias, fractures, neuro issues, cardiac cath, cholecystectomy, dental, and audiology.
- Common procedures and cases include LP with chemo, bone marrow aspirate, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, oral rehabilitation, myringotomy, closed and open fracture reductions, palate repair, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and gastrostomy feeding tube placement.
- Care includes spinal epidurals, arterial lines, patient-controlled analgesia, and cardiac monitors.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Day shifts have variable start times.
Floating Requirements:
- Could rotate to Pre-Op or PACU.
- Ability to float to other UCSF facilities.
